Lena Hoschek Prêt á Porter
Lena Hoschek's new Spring/Summer '24 collection, named "Fresco," is inspired by the precious wall paintings in Italy's majestic palaces. It celebrates the rich art history and the unparalleled beauty of the Italian landscape.
The Renaissance frescoes adorning the walls of Italian palaces served as an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Lena Hoschek's artistic creations. With Fresco she brings to life the unique aesthetics and complexity of these wall paintings, while simultaneously capturing the elegance of Mediterranean villas and the beauty of the Italian landscape.
"Italian frescoes are a testament to Italy's artistic brilliance and cultural significance, and have always inspired the art world with their detailed representation and profound symbolism."
– Lena Hoschek –
The color palette of Fresco reflects the warm, earthy tones of the Tuscan landscape. Radiant gold, deep honey yellow, and soft terracotta evoke sun-drenched fields, while vibrant aqua tones capture the myriad shades of the sea. Romantic floral patterns and intricate embroideries add a passionate touch to the collection, infusing each dress with a hint of luxury.
The cuts of the dresses are as feminine as they are elegant, with Lena Hoschek staying true to her classic silhouettes while skillfully incorporating the Italian ethos of "Dolce far niente." Flowing dresses with flared skirts, slim waists, and deep necklines perfectly accentuate the female figure.
The fabrics used are light and airy - from delicate, lightweight cotton fabrics to linen and raffia - making them ideal for a hot summer and a holiday in the country where the lemons bloom.
